At Gotham Trading, we stand behind the quality and performance of the timepieces we sell. This Warranty Policy explains what is covered, what is not covered, how to submit a claim, and what to expect during the warranty process.

1. Warranty Availability

We offer a 1-year warranty on our watches.
Customers may also request an extended warranty for an additional fee.

2. What Our Warranty Covers

Our warranty covers issues related to the movement and timekeeping performance of the watch. Specifically, we will service the watch if:

  • The watch does not hold time

  • The watch requires a standard maintenance service

3. What Our Warranty Does Not Cover

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Polishing or cosmetic refinishing

  • Customer damage (dropping the watch, impact damage, misuse)

  • Damage to the case, bezel, crystal, or bracelet

  • Water damage

  • Movement damage caused by the customer

  • Services or repairs performed by anyone outside our in-house watchmakers

  • Any condition caused by third-party modifications or unauthorized service

Anything sent out from our store is in the exact condition described; we only service the movement if it requires maintenance.

4. Warranty Conditions That Void Coverage

Warranty coverage becomes void if:

  • The movement is broken due to customer mishandling

  • The watch is dropped

  • The case, bracelet, crystal, or bezel is damaged through customer use

  • Water damage occurs

  • Any repair or service is performed by a non-authorized watchmaker

  • Proof of purchase cannot be confirmed

5. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

To start a warranty claim:

  • Contact us by phone

  • We verify your identity and purchase through our stored invoices and customer records

  • The watch must be sent to us for inspection

6. Warranty Claim Process & Resolution

Once a claim is submitted:

  1. We send a FedEx insured return label.

  2. After receiving the watch, our team runs diagnostic tests to determine the cause of the issue.

  3. Based on the inspection results:

If the issue is covered under warranty:

  • The watch will be serviced by our in-house watchmakers.

  • Once complete, we ship the watch back to the customer.

If the issue is NOT covered under warranty:

  • We provide a service quote.

  • If the customer approves the quote, they pay for the service and shipping.

  • If the customer declines, they pay only the return shipping and may choose an outside service provider.

7. Warranty Processing Time

Processing time varies depending on the service required.
Warranty resolutions may take as little as 1 day or up to 1 month, depending on the complexity of the repair.
